Faeramis of then was a small seaport with some military importance in that it controlled shipping through the straits to the north. During a bombardment by Terran forces from a Xylothorpian (an enormous spaceborne warcraft), the local Condorij forces successfully brought down the ship, with the unforseen consequence that it crashed directly on the city, utterly destroying it and much within a 50km radius.
